will be determined by the entity sponsoring the scholarship

When applying for a student loan on the Site,
you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information
about yourself. If any information you provide is untrue,
inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Sallie Mae has the
right to terminate your loan application and/or decline to
provide any and all future use of the site. When you apply
for a student loan, Sallie Mae may access and process all

to disclose the information you provide to financial institutions,
educational institutions and other authorized third parties.

If you are not a registered user, you may
receive a ID and password upon completing the registration
process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality
of your login name and password and for any and all activities
that occur under your password or account. You agree to immediately
notify Sallie Mae of any unauthorized use of your account
or any other breach of security known to you.
YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT USE OF THE SERVICE

The provisions of these Terms apply for the
benefit of Sallie Mae and its officers, directors, employees,
and agents. Each of these individuals or entities shall have
the right to assert and enforce those provisions directly
against you on its own behalf.
You represent and warrant that you possess
the legal right and ability to enter into these Terms and
to use the Site in accordance with these Terms.
This disclosure shall be governed in all respects by the
substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without
regard to its provisions relating to conflict of laws.
You and Sallie Mae agree to submit to the personal and
exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal
courts located within Fairfax County, Virginia. The
failure of Sallie Mae to exercise or enforce any right
or provision of the Terms shall not constitute a waiver
of such right or provision. If any provision of the
Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction
to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the
court should endeavor to give effect to the parties'
intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other
provisions of the Terms remain in full force and effect.
You agree that regardless of any statute, regulation,
or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action
arising out of or related to use of the site or the
Terms must be filed within one (1) year after such claim
or cause of action arose or be forever barred.

Sallie Mae's College Answer $1,000 Scholarship Sweepstakes

Rules
Who may enter: The College Answer $1,000 Sweepstakes is open to students, parents, guidance counselors, and financial aid officers as set forth below.
Student: The scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled at an Eligible School. An Eligible School is a college or university, vocational school, trade school, professional school, or any other educational institution deemed acceptable by Sponsor. If you are not in a position to enroll in an Eligible School within the next 30 days, we will forward the scholarship to you in the form of a $1,000 check. The scholarship will be issued in check form and made payable to the winner (or, if a minor, to his/her parent or legal guardian).
Parent: The scholarship will be awarded to you based on the following criteria:
- If any one of your children will be a student at an Eligible School within the next 30 days and if you provide verifiable proof of enrollment for that student, we will forward the scholarship to the school as payment towards that student's tuition and fees.
- If you have children but none of them plan to attend an Eligible School within the next 30 days, we will forward the scholarship to you in the form of a $1,000 check in your child's name.
- If you do not have children, we will forward the scholarship to you in the form of a $1,000 check in your name.
Guidance Counselor: The scholarship will be awarded to you to donate to your school's scholarship fund. A check will be issued to the school which will have discretion as to how to award the $1,000 scholarship, so long as that award is made within 30 days of notification to you that you've won.
Financial Aid Officer: The scholarship will be awarded to your school to be used as part of its financial aid funds. The school may use its discretion in determining how the scholarship funds will be awarded as long as award is made within 30 days of notification.
The prize: Sallie Mae will award one (1) $1,000 scholarship to the Sweepstakes winner.
How to enter: You may enter the Sweepstakes by successfully completing Sallie Mae's online registration form.
Alternate means of entry: Mail a 4" x 6" card with the following information:
- Your full name
- Your complete address
- Valid email address (if you do not have an e-mail address, print "no e-mail address")
- Grade level
- School you are attending
- Valid telephone number
- The words "Sallie Mae $1,000 Sweepstakes"

- By submitting an entry, you fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Official Rules. The Sallie Mae $1,000 Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is sponsored by Sallie Mae, Inc., 12061 Bluemont Way, Reston, Virginia, 20190 ("Sponsor"). "You" means the person who submits an entry.
- Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Subject to any governmental approval that may be required, Sponsor reserves the right to, without prior notice and at any time, terminate the Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, or modify Sweepstakes in any way, should any factor interfere with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Rules. Sweepstakes will begin on July 1, 2008 and will continue on a monthly basis. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel the sweepstakes in its entirety, or only the online portion, if it becomes technically corrupted or because of non-authorized human intervention.
- Eligibility. Sweepstakes is open to all students, parents, guidance counselors, and financial aid officers as set forth above who have successfully completed the Sallie Mae online registration form or have entered the Sweepstakes through the alternate means of entry. Employees, officers, or directors of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and their children, parents, spouse, and members of their household are ineligible to participate. No purchase or online entry necessary. Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States. A purchase does not enhance your chance of winning.
- Effective date of entries. Entries made online will be effective on the day received. Entries submitted by mail will be effective on the date Sponsor receives and processes the entry. All entries become the exclusive property of Sallie Mae, Inc. and will not be acknowledged or returned. You are responsible for your costs of entering, including online access charges, long distance telephone charges, and postage.
- Selection of winners. Winners will be determined by random drawing from all eligible entries received and processed at least one day before the monthly drawing. Drawings will be held on the last day of each month, or as soon as is commercially reasonable, beginning July 31, 2008. Winners will not be eligible to win any other Sallie Mae prizes awarded under Sweepstakes. Winners must agree to the use of their names, voices, and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- Notification of winners. Sweepstakes winner will be notified by phone or email, followed by mail if necessary. An e-mail will be sent to the winner within one week after the monthly drawing. All decisions are final and binding. Should the e-mail be returned to the Sponsor as invalid, two more attempts will be made via e-mail and one by regular mail. Winners must contact the Sponsor within 30 calendar days from the date the notification is sent by Sponsor to claim their Sallie Mae $1,000 scholarship. Failure to contact Sponsor within that 30 days period will result in immediate disqualification of the selected entrant and a new winner will be selected. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Sponsor may be reached by email. Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners.
- Odds of winning. The odds of winning any drawing will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.
- In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account.
- Prizes. One (1) $1,000 scholarship prize will be awarded in the scholarship winner’s name. Winner is responsible for all taxes. For tax purposes, scholarship winners must provide their Social Security Number in order for the $1,000 check to be disbursed.
- Other conditions. Sponsor, its agents and representatives, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and legal advisors are not responsible for and will not be liable for; (I) late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, unintelligible or postage due entries; (II) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind; (III) failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; (IV) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor that may cause Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; (V) any injuries losses or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the Sweepstakes, acceptance, possession or use of the name "Sallie Mae $1,000 Sweepstakes", or from participation in the Sweepstakes; or (VI) any printing or typographical error in any material associated with the Sweepstakes.
- Indemnification. You agree to release and hold Sponsor, its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of the name " Sallie Mae $1,000 Sweepstakes ", including without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
- Choice of law. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of you and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, will be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without regard to Virginia choice of law rules.
Sallie Mae's Parent Answer $10,000 Scholarship SweepstakesTM Official Rules
Who may enter: Sallie Mae's Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes ("Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes" or "Sweepstakes") is open to all U.S. residents who are parents of undergraduate college students attending a Title IV school or parents of high school seniors entering a Title IV school for the academic year 2010-11.
The prize: Sallie Mae will award one (1) $10,000 scholarship toward college tuition and/or other college related expenses to be paid to the Sweepstakes winner.
How to enter: You may register for the Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes by (a) completing Sallie Mae's online registration form with your name, address, home telephone number, and valid email address and (b) agreeing to receive Sallie Mae's Parent Answer e-Newsletter, without opting out at any time before the sweepstakes drawing.
Alternate means of entry: Mail a 4" x 6" card on which you have printed your name, valid email address, complete mailing address, telephone number, number of children, and the words "Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes—$10,000" in a separate envelope addressed to Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes—$10,000, P.O. Box 9500, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18773-9500.
You also may enter the Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes by (a) completing and returning an Official Sallie Mae Parent Answer Business Reply Card with your name, address, home telephone number, and valid email address and (b) agreeing to receive Sallie Mae's Parent Answer e-Newsletter, without opting out at any time before the Sweepstakes drawing.
Limit one entry per household regardless of method of entry. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. You must enter no later than May 31, 2010 to be eligible to win. If you do not win a prize, your entry remains eligible for future drawings. Eligible participants that were entered in the Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes that ended May 31, 2009 are automatically entered in this sweepstakes.

Winners must agree to the use of their names, voices, and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- Notification of winner. Sweepstakes winner will be notified by email approximately one week after the drawing. All decisions are final and binding. Should an email notice be undeliverable or returned to the Sponsor as invalid, one more attempt will be made via email; and if the notice is undeliverable or returned a second time, Sponsor will mail the notice to the address provided on the entrant's registration form. Winner must contact Sponsor in accordance with instructions on the notice and execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release within 10 days after the date the first notification was sent by the sponsor in order to claim their prize. Failure to complete these steps within that 10-day period will result in disqualification of the selected winner and a new winner will be selected at random from the pool of qualified entries. Sponsor is not responsible for and will not be liable for late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners. The final prize winner will be posted on this page.
- Odds of winning. The odds of winning any drawing will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.
- In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the home telephone number entered in the online registration form or the borrower named in the offline registration form.
- Prize. One (1) $10,000 scholarship will be awarded in the Sweepstakes Winner's name. Winner is responsible for all taxes. Prize is not transferable.
- Other conditions. Sponsor, its agents and representatives, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and legal advisors are not responsible for and will not be liable for; (I) late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, unintelligible or postage due entries; (II) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind; (III) failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; (IV) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor that may cause Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; (V) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the Sweepstakes, acceptance, possession or use of the name "Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes," or from participation in the Sweepstakes; or (VI) any printing or typographical error in any material associated with the Sweepstakes.
- Indemnification. You agree to release and hold Sponsor, its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of the name "Parent Answer Scholarship Sweepstakes", including without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
- Resolution of disputes. Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes you agree that (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held at the AAA regional office nearest Reston, Virginia; (2) the Federal Arbitration Act will govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain awards for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys' fees, other than your actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes), and you further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
- Choice of law. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of you and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, will be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without regard to Virginia choice of law rules.
IMPORTANT: Any person attempting to forge entry or to defraud Sallie Mae in any way in connection with this Sweepstakes will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to deliberately damage any Web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to prosecute any such individual to the fullest extent of the law.
